Question Deadline 02/17/2023 at 12:00 PM ET For Design and Construction Services for New Safety Town Village and 9/11 Memorial Pursuant tothe Ohio Revised and Administrative Codes, subject to the conditions and specifications herein, the City of Wadsworth, Ohio is soliciting proposals from qualified firms interested in providing ful design and construction services for a new Safety Town Village and 9/11 Memorial park to be located to the rear of the new 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES - . 3. PROJECT SITE CITY OF WADSWORTH - SAFETY TOWN VILLAGE & 9/11 MEMORIAL DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION SERVICES 2 Interested firms shall submit a complete design and cost quote for the proposed Safety Town Village and 9/11 Memorial that includes: The City of Wadsworth acquired approximately (3) acres consisting of (5) parcels which were consolidated as 343 College Street in Wadsworth. The city is currently constructing a new 21,000 sq. ft. headquarters building to replace current Fire Station #1. The planned station opening is September 2023. The proposed Safety Town Village and 9/11 Memorial shall be located on the same parcel as the new fire station. Specifically, to the rear of station and adjacent to city owned Memorial Park. See attached Exhibit 2A and 2 B Site Plan Sheet & Topographic survey. ? All required site work to include any necessary earthwork, tree removal, brush grubbing and clearing, and proper grading as required for the proposed design; ? Miniature village street network comprised of six foot wide asphalt or concrete streets, with proper excavation, subgrade compaction, aggregate base, reinforcement and proper depth of selected surface material, together with all necessary saw cuts and expansion joints, as needed for intended use (see Exhibit 1 for suggested street & sidewalk network shape); ? Miniature sidewalk network comprised of two and a half foot wide concrete sidewalks running adjacent to street network and including proper excavation, subgrade compaction, aggregate base, reinforcement and proper depth of concrete and all necessary saw cuts and expansion joints, as needed for intended use (see Exhibit 1 for suggested street & sidewalk network shape); ? A 30’x40’ non-metal roofed Pavilion or Shade Structure with a concrete slab and required footings, including proper excavation, subgrade compaction, aggregate base, reinforcement and proper depth of concrete to include all necessary saw cuts and expansion joints, as needed for intended use; ? Extension and installation of site electric to pavilion area for pavilion lighting and a standard outdoor weatherproof duplex outdoor outlet at Pavilion. ? Installation of a 9/11 Memorial area using two different colors of donated pavers and scalable pedestal mounted displays of a 9/11 WTC piece of steel, firefighter statue(s), large bell from existing fire station #1, (2) 20’ flag poles and (1 ) 25’ center flagpole; ? Installation of ground mounted information plaques and memorial markers in accordance with design; ? Extension and installation of site electric to memorial area to include lighting for memorials and flagpoles; ? All disturbed areas and areas around any installed materials or items shall be backfilled and seeded.
