For the City of Cornell, Mill Yard Park Riverfront Trail Improvements project. The work, in general, will include the approximate quantities and items listed below: Clearing and Grubbing 15 Sta. 12 - 36" Storm Sewer Appurtenances 85 lf Common Excavation 4,500 cy Pit Run 2,150 cy Crushed Aggregate Base Course 1,100 cy Concrete Curb and Gutter 375 lf Concrete Sidewalk 2,400 sf Hot Mix Asphalt, 3" 4,750 sf Pavement Markings, Assorted 850 lf Traffi c Control 1 ls Restoration 12,000 sy. The proposals shall be submitted on the forms furnished with the specifi cations. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond, of a bonding company duly authorized to do business in the State of Wisconsin, in an amount equal to fi ve percent (5%) of the proposal. This proposal guarantee shall be subject to forfeiture as provided by law. When submitting an electronic bid, bidder is required to deliver the original bid bond, within 72 hours of bid opening, to Cedar Corporation. For this project, bids will be received and accepted, the online electronic bid service through portal bidding or by sealed paper copy. This project is funded in part with a Community Development Block Grant. Federal Davis-Bacon Act wage rates are applicable to this project, per Federal Labor Provisions (4010). Attention of bidders is particularly called to the requirements, as to condition of employment to be observed, and minimum wage and fringe rates to be paid under the contract, Section 3, Segregated Facility, Section 109 and E.O. 11246. We encourage MBEs, DBEs, and WBEs to submit bid proposals. The solicitation of subcontractors must evidence a good faith effort to obtain bids from MBEs, DBEs and WBEs, such efforts to be documented. Proposals shall not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days, after the date of opening. The City of Cornell reserves the right to reject any, or all, of the proposals and to waive any informalities therein.
