Project Description: The Ministry of Highways (MoH) requires a consultant to provide engineering services for the functional design of modifications to the Highway No. 1 and Lewvan Drive interchange. The purpose of the study is to prepare a functional plan for this interchange considering existing constraints and future developments, and to optimize the interchange configuration and any required road realignments. Stakeholder consultations with the City of Regina and the RM of Sherwood will be required to understand existing and future land uses and needs. This functional study will need to generate design solutions to accommodate the northbound to westbound left turn movements on the Lewvan Drive interchange, confirm the feasibility of the proposed modification, and determine the timing of other modifications, such as traffic signals at the ramp terminals to help manage any anticipated delays caused by the modifications.
