We are issuing a request for proposal for facade repairs on the Lions Community Hall at 24 Qu'Appelle Street, Qu'Appelle Sask. This building is a Municipal Heritage property and requires repairs to maintain the same visual aspects of appearance of original construction. In concurrence with the Town of Qu'Appelle and the Qu'Appelle District Lions Club the following is the scope of the work for this project: The metal facade is loose and hanging in some areas and thenvironment has been damaging the substructure. As well, there is water entering the building causing some issues. The facade needs to be removed carefully, cleaned and restored. The substructure requires repair or replaced as required; the metal facade replaced and permanently secured and sealed to prevent moisture and elements from entering the building. Installation of a barrier to deter pigeons gathering at the facade is necessary. Windows, Entrance Doors: Second Level Windows: Eight (8) Window openings on second level has been covered by stucco. This area requires removal of the coverings and windows replaced with multi pane sealed unit or seal the stucco covering to prevent leakage. Ground Floor Windows: The two windows on lower level need to be replaced 46'' x 48 ''(approx.) with triple pane sealed and properly installed and sealed. Entrance Doors: The entrance doors shall be replaced with double doors that do not require a center post. As well, the concrete slab has a tendency to heave and obstruct the doors - removal of the cement pad and installing pilings or installing a suspended entrance pad to foundation maybe options to prevent heaving.
