The Victoria Independent School District is seeking Competitive Sealed Bids for the VISD Re-Roofing Work Package One project Bids shall be based on lump sum fixed pricing and must include all materials, labor, permits, fees, bonds and insurance. All bids equal to or greater than $100,000.00 including any additive alternates, must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a cashier s check, certified check or bid bond made payable without recourse to Victoria Independent School District in an amount equal to or not less than 5% of the bid amount including any additive alternates. Performance and labor and material payment bonds will be required equal to 100% of the contract amount, if more than $100,000.00. Payment Bonds only are required if bid is greater than $25,000.00, but less than $100,000.00. Prevailing wages published in the bid documents must be paid on this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 days subsequent to the opening of the bid without consent of the District. All bid securities will be retained until contracts have been awarded and executed, but no longer than 45 days. Prevailing wages adopted by the Victoria Independent School District and published in the bid documents must be paid on this project. The Victoria ISD reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to accept any bid deemed by the District as providing the best value for and being most beneficial to the District, and to waive all formalities in the bidding process. The Victoria Independent School District Re-Roof Work - Package One is a renovation project located in Victoria, Texas. The work areas are located at several district elementary school campusses and several roof areas at each campus. The Work includes removal of existing flashings and sheet metal, existing roofing and the installation of a gypsum cover board and covering that with a two-ply modified bituminous roofing system and related flashings, sheet metal, related accessories as described in the Construction Drawings, Specifications, Proposal Documents, and Contract Documents prepared by Rawley McCoy & Associates, PLLC (The Architect), and shall include all general construction, structure, mechanical, electrical and other work as indicated in the Contract Documents.
