All interested bidders must obtained bid documents to the Owner. The project consists of (a) Replacing 975 LF of 15' vitrified clay sewer line with 975 LF of 24" PVC sanitary sewer line; (b) Abandoning approximately 450 LF of the existing 30" brick arch sanitary sewer and fill with grout; (c) Rerouting approximately 450 LF of new PVC line from brick archway to be within the Meekison Street public right-of-way; and (d) Replace 24 combined sewer tap-ins with 6" PVC sanitary sewer and 6" PVC storm sewer tap-ins. Bids must be submitted on the forms found in the Bidding Document; must contain the names of every person or company interested therein; and shall be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond with satisfactory corporate surety in the amount of 100% of the bid amount subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bids shall be sealed and marked as - CITY OF NAPOLEON / SOUTH SIDE INTERCEPTOR I/I REDUCTION PROJECT MEEKISON STREET FROM SOUTH PERRY STREET TO APPIAN AVENUE and hand delivered or mailed to the Board of Henry County Commissioners, 1853 Oakwood Avenue, Napoleon, OH 43545. SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Any bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual opening thereof. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive irregularities in any bid, and to accept any bid which is deemed most favorable to the County. The Henry County Board of Commissioners and the City of Napoleon reserve the right to reject every bid and to waive informalities, irregularities, and errors in the bidding to the extent permitted by law. The County reserves the right to purchase material from the most economical source. Location of material and job site, as well as any other pertinent factors, will be taken into consideration. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening of the bids.
