Renovation of a mixed-use development in Waycross, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development; and water / sewer project.

Modernizations and Improvements at GA028001 Garlington Heights and GA028006 Northside Homes. GA028001 Garlington Heights Improvements will occur in Nine (9) Buildings, Housing Seventy-One (71) Apartments. Scope Of Work shall consist of Total Electric Conversion at all Seventy-One (71) Apartments. Electric Conversion shall affect Electric Service Entrances, Electrical Panels, Converting HVAC System, Water Heaters and Stoves from gas to electric. Scope Of Work includes all related demolition of existing gas related system and installing new related electrical improvements necessary to convert from gas to electric. Bathroom UpGrades shall be a total modernization of the Bathrooms consisting of Tub/Shower Surrounds, Bath Vanities, related Faucets and Valves, Bath Exhaust Fans, Electric Devises and Fixture replacement. Along with the Bathroom UpGrade is the removal replacement of wall and ceiling finishes. GA028006 Northside Homes Site Improvements consist of selective Site Sanitary Sewer and Clean Out Replacement. Included is the removal of related trees, roots, and stumps. Other Site Improvements consist of the installation of Fencing between rear of Apartment Buildings. In order for all interested bidders to familiarize themselves with all the requirements of the contract documents, drawings, specifications, job conditions, existing building conditions, A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Waycross, Georgia, U. S. Government bonds or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureties in an amount equal to five (5%) percent of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Each bidder shall submit with bid a Statement of Bidder's Construction Experience and Previous Participation Certificate (HUD-2530), and Representations, Certificates, and Other Statements of Bidders (HUD5369-A). The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds. Attention is called to the provision for Davis Bacon/Section 3 equal employment opportunity, and payment of not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the General Conditions must be paid and reported on this project. Further the Project is funded through American Recovery And Reinvestment Act mandating the Buy American and job status reporting requirements. The Local Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informality in the bidding. All prospective bidders are urged to visit the site and familiarize themselves with job conditions. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Housing Authority of the City of Waycross, Georgia.
