Vehicle kits will also be serviced every eight (8) weeks as part of normal service but may only include part of the fleet, not all vehicles. Vehicle kits that need service will be housed in a centralized area located in the City's MOC Warehouse. All parts to be bid must be new and carry the maximum expiration date. Items marked with an expiration date shall be replaced if expired or upon total consumption. Items not marked with an expiration date shall be replaced upon total consumption. All project work areas are to be left in clean condition after finishing restocking services. All items must fit inside the identified first aid kit cabinet. No items may be stacked on top of the cabinet or placed anywhere other than in the cabinet. Automated External Defibrillators (AED's) shall be inspected on the same eight (8) week schedule as first aid kits unless specified otherwise. The complete list of re-stock items for this project is itemized in "Attachment A, Bid Submittal Sheet" and the list of City sites with first aid supply stations is outlined in "Attachment B, First Aid Kit Locations." The City is soliciting bids from licensed contractors to provide re-stocking services to existing City of Redmond first aid kits as well as inspection and service of Automated External Defibrillators (AED's). This contract will be awarded for one (1) year, from March 1, 2023 to February 28, 2024.The City reserves the right to renew this contract for four (4) additional one-year renewal terms, for a potential maximum total term of five (5) years (Attachment F, Option for Renewal), provided that 1) Contractor is in compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract and, 2) that the annual payment is cost-effective as determined by the City, and 3) that sufficient funds have been appropriated by the City Council. The City reserves the right to cancel this contract at any time, upon thirty (30) days written notice to the selected Contractor. Should the City exercise a renewal option, the City and Contractor may discuss a price adjustment, in accordance with the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index (CPI-W) for the Seattle-TacomaBellevue area occurring during the immediately preceding 12-month period for which CPI-W data is available, or a fixed 3% increase, whichever is greater. The Bureau of Labor Statistics website can be found at website Contractor shall notify the City in writing at least thirty (30) days prior to a proposed price adjustment. Acceptance of such a request will be at the sole discretion of the City. The City of Redmond is an active member of the King County Directors Association (KCDA) and several other joint purchasing entities and would be eligible to seek access to any and all price considerations, terms and conditions outlined in master agreements formed by one of these agencies. If a proposal is based on any of these pricing agreements/arrangements, it shall be the responsibility of the bidder to identify such. It is requested that the City be contacted prior to bid submission if beneficial pricing may be achieved by the City via access to an existing contract with one of these agencies. The City requires a fingerprint-level background check for the contractors at any time to allow unescorted access to City sites. Upon award, Contractor shall submit a current list of names and assignments of all employees who will perform work under this contract.
