The Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec invites tenders from service providers under the contract for the inspection, maintenance and calibration of scales at roadside checkpoints of the Société de l' Quebec automobile insurance. LOTS Bidders are invited to bid on one or more lots according to the following lots: Lot 1: Abitibi-Témiscamingue Lot 2: Bas Saint-Laurent Lot 3: Côte-Nord Lot 4: Estrie Lot 5: Gaspésie Lot 6: Greater Montreal Lot 7: Mauricie Lot 8: Outaouais Lot 9: Quebec region Lot 10: Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean Bidders may bid on more than one lot. The adjudication will be based on the lowest price submitted, per lot. TENDER GUARANTEE The service provider must accompany its tender with a tender guarantee valid for a period of seventy-five (75) days from the date and time limit set for the receipt of tenders. This guarantee must represent at least ten percent (10%) of the amount submitted. The guarantee must be in the form of a bid bond issued in favor of the Company, by a company legally authorized to stand surety and this bond must comply with the provisions of the model bond provided in the appendix. *** Important *** the Addition of Any Condition or Change in the Text of the Bid Security Annex and the Irrevocable Letter of Guarantee Attachment to the Tender Document Will Render the Bid Non-compliant. PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE Prior to signing the contract, the service provider whose name will be retained will be asked for a performance guarantee in an amount equivalent to ten percent (10%) of the contract amount, provided in the form of a bond. issued by a company legally authorized to stand surety, in accordance with the third paragraph of section 12 of the Regulation respecting construction contracts of public bodies. This bond must be issued in favor of the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec and comply with the provisions of the model bond provided in the appendix. If defects, omissions or poor workmanship are reported to the service provider and he refuses to remedy them or neglects to do so, the Company may use the performance guarantee to enforce, as it sees fit, additional work ordered or to obtain compensation for defects, omissions or poor workmanship observed. The performance bond shall be valid for the entire duration of the contract and will be returned to the service provider 30 days after the date of completion of the contract. REQUIRED ACCREDITATION The service provider must be accredited as an Authorized Service Provider (ASP) by Measurement Canada to inspect and certify platform scales with multiple non-automatic aprons used in the transportation sector.
