Renovation of an educational facility in Richmond, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The project intent focused on removing the oldest classroom and office building and relocating the existing functions into modular buildings. The portables with DSA certification will need to be evaluated to determine their condition and suitability for reuse and possible relocation onsite. The Architect will be responsible two develop a site layout for the campus. Additional funding beyond the original budget identified by the Long-Range Facilities Plan has not been determined; however, to complete a project that allows for the continued operation of stege as an elementary school, additional funding is required. Stege is currently staffed with 12 general education FTF and 2 special education FTF. The function Within the demolished building will need to be accommodated in new or existing portables on site. Determining the minimum of classroom and support spaces will help determine the appropriate use of the portables on site. Additionally, the buildings to remain will require some level of modernization. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
