The contractor will apply approximately 51,067 gallons of CRS2; the final quantity to be determined by the City based on funds available. The Contractor will supply all equipment necessary for applying the seal coat. City crews will prepare project sites; supply and load rock on contractor's trucks and clean up excess rock. Price bid shall be based on estimated gallons of asphaltic oil at the bid unit price. Contractor's personnel must be in compliance with OSHA standards including wearing all required safety equipment. All procedures and equipment will be in compliance with OSHA standards. A CERTIFIED CHECK, CASHIER'S CHECK or BID BOND made payable to the City of Saint Peter, Minnesota, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid must be enclosed with the bid. The City reserves the right to retain said certified check or bid bond until a contract has been awarded and signed, but no longer than thirty (30) days. A PERFORMANCE BOND, CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, and proof of WORKER'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE is also required of the successful bidder. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof. In reviewing the bids, the City will consider the cost of seal coat aggregate (supplied by the City) in its award decision. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive defects in the bids, and to accept the bid that is in the best interest of the City. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
