The Jenkins Independent School District Burdine Elementary project is being bid and constructed utilizing the Construction Management as Constructor (CMc) delivery method of construction contract delivery. Trace Creek Construction will be the CMc for the project under direct contract with the Jenkins Independent Board of Education. Individual bid package contracts will between Trace Creek Construction, Inc. and the successful Individual Bid Package Contractor. The project is generally described as renovation and addition to Burdine Elementary. The work of the project is necessitated because of the flooding event of July, 2022. The project will be bid and constructed according to the. rules and regulation as set forth by the Federal Emergency Agency (FEMA). The project consists of the addition of a new pre-school room addition, new library, sprinkler system and selected electrical/ mechanical improvements. The project is to be completed in 170 calendar days. A 5% bid bond or certified check equal to 5% of the bid, including all alternates, is required to be submitted with the official form of proposal, to Trace Creek Construction, Inc. A 100% payment and performance bond shall be provided for the full base bid amount plus any accepted bid alternate(s), upon receipt of a Notice of Award, to Trace Creek Construction, Inc No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum bid shall not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeiture of bid bond.
