CONTRACT NO. 08 is for the reconstruction of Canterbury Dr. from Greenbrier Ter. to Lawndale Dr. and of Dina St. from Rapanos Dr. to Wyllys St. Some of the quantities listed in the Itemized Bid are as follows: 4,600 Syd Crush & Shape Bit. Pavement 3,200 Lft Concrete Curb & Gutter 840 Ton Bit. Pavement A certified check or bid bond for a sum of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal will be required with each bid. Bids will be tabulated and a contract may be awarded at a later City Council meeting, likely in June 2023. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or defects, and may accept other than the low bid when deemed in the City's best interest. SCOPE OF WORK: This project is for the street reconstruction of Canterbury Dr. from Greenbrier Ter. to Lawndale Dr. and of Dina St. from Rapanos Dr. to Wyllys St. The project scope includes, but is not limited to crushing & shaping of bituminous pavement, storm sewer modifications, removal/replacement of concrete curb and driveway approaches & placement of new bituminous pavement. In general, the order of construction activities shall be as follows: 1. Crush & shape existing bituminous pavement and aggregate base. 2. Complete storm sewer modifications. 3. Replace curb & gutter, driveway approaches and sidewalk ramps. Complete all concrete work on one side of the street and reopen to residents prior to beginning concrete work on the other side. 4. Cut the grade to accommodate the design pavement thickness and regrade structures in street, including replacement of castings. 5. Fine grade and compact aggregate base. 6. Complete turf establishment. 7. Place bituminous pavement.
