Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Serena, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
C.U.S.D. 2 will receive sealed bids for Asbestos Abatement for 2023 Renovations at Serena Community High School, 2283 N. 3812th Road in Serena, IL. The work is a two-phase project over spring and summer breaks. The work includes removal of flooring, piping, ceilings, transite-lined fume hood and laboratory tops. Spring Break is March 27, 2023 - April 4, 2023. Summer Break is May 30, 2023 - June 26, 2023. Contractor shall use care when installing separation barriers, to not damage building materials, including walls, floors, and ceilings. The building materials may or may not contain asbestos. Identification of all asbestos-containing building materials is beyond the scope of these Specifications. Contractor shall assume at all suspect building materials contain asbestos and avoid disturbance to them. Contractor shall be responsible for all damages caused by the Contractor to building materials, including asbestos fiber release cleanup costs
