Professional Services for Roanoke Street/ Depot Street Pedestrian Accommodations (UPC 122102), Roanoke Street/1st Street Pedestrian Accommodations (UPC 122103), North Franklin Sidewalk In-Fill (UPC 122104), & Roanoke Street Crossing and Sidewalk (UPC 122105) The Town of Christiansburg is seeking expressions of interest from consulting engineering firms who wish to be considered to provide professional engineering services for: Roanoke Street / Depot Street Pedestrian Accommodations: This project includes the installation of pedestrian activated crosswalk signals and curb ramps for the crossing of Depot Street at Roanoke Street. Sidewalk will also be extended along the north side of Roanoke Street from Depot Street to the existing sidewalk on the adjacent property to the east. Roanoke Street / 1st Street Pedestrian Accommodations: This project includes the installation of pedestrian activated crosswalk signals and the addition/modification of six curb ramps to meet ADA standards for the crossing of Roanoke Street and 1st Street. North Franklin Sidewalk In-Fill: This project includes the installation of sidewalk and curb & gutter along N. Franklin Street from Mill Lane to Water Street to provide pedestrians access to shopping, the aquatic center, residential areas, and the downtown area. The existing island at Mill Lane will be expanded to allow for a crosswalk with accessible curb ramps to be installed. The existing guardrail south of Mill Lane will be removed and replaced. Roanoke Street Crossing and Sidewalk: This project includes the installation of pedestrian activated crosswalk signals and curb ramps for the crossing of Roanoke Street at Depot Street. Sidewalk will also be extended along the south side of Roanoke Street to connect to the existing sidewalk at Barkwood Street to the east The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
