**As of april 5, 2023 , this project has been awarded to KevCor for $18,452,370.** A new low pressure wastewater collection system shall be provided for the Town of Exmore. This includes the installation of approximately 717 grinder pump stations and associated sewer lateral piping, as well as the installation of approximately 83,000 linear feet of new force main piping ranging in size from 1.25" to 8". The collection system shall discharge into the influent manhole of the pump station by others. The force mains will ultimately discharge into the HRSD owned Caroline Ave Pumping Station. The Project has an expected duration of 570 days to Final Completion. Davis-Bacon Act Bidder must be aware of and comply with all Davis-Bacon Act requirements that apply to this project. Bidders must comply with the President's Executive Order #11246, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, color, creed, sex, or national origin, and Executive Orders #12138 and #11625 regarding utilization of MBE/WBE firms. Bidders shall take affirmative steps in compliance with regulations, prior to submission of bids or closing data for receipt of initial offerings, to encourage participation in projects by MBE and WBE firms. Such efforts are outlined in the Contract inserts. Bidder must demonstrate compliance with MBE/WBE requirements to be deemed responsible. Demonstration of compliance is required. Successful bidders should take reasonable affirmative steps to subcontract with MBE and WBE firms whenever additional subcontracting opportunities arise during the performance of the contract.
