Project includes the replacement of approximately 75 LF of 4 inch HPS and 2 inch PC located in box conduit from the main steam tunnel located under Beckwith drive to the Whichard building crawl space, a new cast in place concrete steam vault, approximately 200 LF of 4 inch PC replacement in the walkable tunnel located under Beckwith Drive. Also included are site improvements that consist of the replacement of approximately 500 LF of 8" gravity sanitary sewer along Beckwith, and Beckwith Drive road restoration. The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a cash deposit or a certified check drawn on some bank or trust company, insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, of an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, or in lieu thereof a bidder may offer a bid bond of five percent (5%) of the bid executed by a surety company licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute the contract in accordance with the bid bond. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
