The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms, to provide grounds maintenance services at the following locations: 1. Warrenton RT 17 BUS Interchange (Fauquier County) - Lot size is approximately 15 acres. Services shall include mowing of all grass areas, edging, string trimming, litter removal & Traffic Control when needed. This location has a Partial Mow and a Full Mow. Attachment H shows the Partial Mow Area (Approximately 7.5 acres) marked in Yellow and the Full Mow Area (Approximately 15 acres) marked in Red and Yellow. The schedule will be a Partial and a Full Mow once a Month each. It will be two weeks in between the Mowing's. The Contractor will not have to mow within 3' of any Trees, Shrubs or Flowers on the Project. There is a Landscape Warranty that requires the Contractor that built the Project to take care of Mowing around the Landscaping and the Landscaping itself which is set to expire on 10/27/2023. 2. RT 605 & 29 Commuter Parking Lot (Fauquier County) - Lot size is approximately 4.5 acres. Services shall include mowing of all grass areas, edging, string trimming, litter removal & Traffic Control when needed. Attachment H shows Mowing Area marked in Red. 3. BUS 17 & Cunningham Farm Drive Commuter Lot & BUS 17 Medians (Marshall, Fauquier County) - Lot size is approximately 3 acres. Median size combined together is approximately .5 acre from F185 Grove Ln to RT 647 Crest Hill Rd. Services shall include mowing of all grass areas, edging, string trimming, litter removal & Traffic Control when needed. Attachment H shows Mowing Area marked in Red. 4. RT 29 & 663 Brandy Station Commuter Lot (Culpeper County) - Lot size is approximately 2.5 acres. Services shall include mowing of all grass areas, edging, string trimming, litter removal & Traffic Control when needed. Attachment H shows Mowing Area marked in Red. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: One (1) year period from issue of Purchase Order (Renewable) Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Jason Bailey at Jason.Bailey@VDOT.Virginia.gov . The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than five (5) days prior to the closing date.
