Renovation of a municipal facility in Saginaw, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED PSC to provide Phase 100, 300, 500, 600 and 700 services for the replacement of the existing #1 Chiller. The chiller is 4 years past design life and parts are no longer easily attainable. The chiller runs regularly on warm days as the back up to the ice storage system which has a dedicated ice making chiller. It's expected that the new chiller will be more efficient and significantly save on energy cost. This scope is to include controls upgrades of out-of-date components and systems for improved operation and integration. A selection of existing building documents are included for reference. The PSC shall be responsible for verifying and gathering accurate information, preparation of all necessary construction documents, approval of these documents by the required governing agencies, and final as-built record drawings. There shall be the standard 50 percent and 90 percent reviews for the Phase 300 and 500 services, with additional review meetings generally twice a month or as deemed necessary. The Phase 100 scope shall include a general chiller plant evaluation with recommendation options for improved operation and efficiency including but not limited to: ice-burn and water-cooling strategies, chiller redundancy, etc.
