The last day for questions is Thursday, February 16th The selected bidder will also be required to attend a pre-construction meeting with City staff. Area 1-West 5th Avenue project description: This project will be the replacement of a 725 linear foot (LF) 6 wide sidewalk on West 5th Avenue. There is one (1) accessible ramp and seven (7) driveway aprons to be replaced as well. The work shall include, but is not limited to excavation, grading, asphalt paving, drainage, curb ramps, erosion control, and other incidentals. Replacement also includes curbing and driveway aprons as well. See the attached project map for exact location of work. Area 2-East 4th Street Area project description: This project will be the replacement of a 360 linear foot (LF) 5 wide sidewalk on North Pugh Street and 330 LF of 5 wide sidewalk on East 4th Street. There are four (4) accessible ramps and four (4) driveway apronsto be replaced as well. The work shall include, but is not limited to excavation, grading, drainage, curb ramps, erosion control, and other incidentals. Replacement also includes curbing and driveway aprons as well. See the attached project map for exact location of work. Area 3-Pine Street project description: This project will be the addition of 140 linear feet (LF) of curbing on Pine Street. The work will include one (1) driveway cut. See the attached project map for exact location of work. All sidewalks must be a minimum of 4 thick, except in driveways which require a minimum thickness of 6. All concrete must have a minimum compressive strength of 3,000 psi at 28 days. All required concrete testing is to be performed by the contractor or third party at no cost to the City. Cylinders are to be tested at 7, 14, and 28 days. All ADA truncated domes must be replaceable in nature and black in color. Driveways are to be constructed per the Lexington Infrastructure Development Standards manual (see attached detail). Bidders will be required to comply with all applicable statutes and regulations and those attached to and made a part of the proposal.
