The City of Virginia Beach is soliciting Statements of Interest and Qualifications from interested firms to provide environmental services for city projects, facilities, initiatives, and other purposes. Services will include, but are not limited to, support for the development and implementation of the City's Environmental Management Program including development of technical reports, operations manuals, procedures, training, program documents, and field investigation, and regulatory guidance. Services also include performance of environmental site assessments, wetlands delineations, environmental permitting, providing assistance to the City to pursue federal, state, and local grants, groundwater and surface water quality analysis and monitoring, soils analysis and monitoring, well water sampling, and asbestos, lead and indoor air quality sampling, testing, and studies. Additional services may include design of project improvements to support staff safety and environmental compliance at city facilities, analysis of regulatory impacts, studies, research, and training, related to environmental laws and regulations for clean water, waste management, hazardous waste and materials, soil and groundwater contamination, and clean air. Services will also include environmental engineering design, planning, project management, and other services to support the City's underground and above ground storage tank (UST and AST) installation and maintenance program and site remediation. These services include civil, environmental, geotechnical, and structural engineering design, preparation of Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) plans, training, and technical support.
