The selected firm will provide the full range of architectural and engineering capabilities for the entire scope of the project. Design and construction of the project will require emphasis on site planning, interior design, acoustics, energy efficiency, security, and technology. In addition; working and collaborating with various constituent groups and work teams including Medical Examiner's Office representatives and Facilities Management, will be critical in providing an efficient, effective, and functional Medical Examiner Facility for Kent County Inquiries Deadline Date & Time (local) 2/24/2023, 2 PM To obtain the highest quality facility within the schedule and budget allocations, Kent County is seeking a firm for the new Medical Examiner project through a Qualifications-Based Selection process. This selection process articulates the County's goals and provides openness and consistency so that all qualified firms receive fair consideration. The remainder of this Request for Proposal (RFP) identifies specifics regarding the new Medical Examiner facility project Kent County issues this Request for Proposal (RFP) in its process to obtain Architectural/Engineering Design and Production Services for a new Medical Examiner (ME) Facility. The proposed new Medical Examiner Facility will be located at the Kent County Fuller Campus in Grand Rapids, MI (Reference Appendix A). Specific site planning and facility location will be part of the scope of this project. This facility is a replacement for leased space at an area hospital that has been used for quite some time. The preferred design is a one story independent stand-alone facility consisting of two primary components: office space and separated space for the performance and functions of the Medical Examiner. Kent County will evaluate, award, and contract for the goods and services in this solicitation in an efficient and timely manner. The solicitation will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming with all the material terms and conditions of the solicitation, is the lowest price. In no event will notification of award be more than thirty (30) days from the date of vendor submission. The purpose of the conference is to provide equal opportunity to seek clarifications regarding this opportunity. Failure to attend the pre-submission conference may result in rejection of non-attendee inquiries. Each Respondent will be given the opportunity to ask questions and is responsible for taking their own meeting notes. One person from the Respondent should be designated to ask questions when prompted by the meeting host for teleconference meetings. All additional attendees should remain muted. Attendees must fully review all solicitation documents and correspondence prior to the conference. Attendee shall be an employee or authorized reseller of the Respondent with requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities to participate.
