Site work and paving for a civil project in Ken Caryl, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project will rebuild the existing traffic signal at Ken Caryl Avenue and Simms Street/Chatfield Avenue. The existing mast arms will be replaced with mast arms and poles that meet current standards, a second eastbound left turn lane will be constructed to increase capacity, and directional ramps will be installed along with realigned crosswalks to shorten the crossing distance for pedestrians and cyclists. This project will increase capacity, improve pedestrian safety, and provide more robust traffic structures. This project is in included in the County of Jefferson FY 2023 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of February 14, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
