For all proposals in the amount of $50,000 or more: Security may be a certified check, bank draft, irrevocable bank letter or credit or surety bond in the amount of 5% of the project price to secure the District from loss or damage by reason of withdrawal or by failure of the bidder to enter into a contract if the bid is accepted. All bidders must be bondable and shall include in the Proposal the cost of furnishing Labor and Material Payment and Performance Bonds each in the payable amount of 100% of the proposed bidding sum. The bonds shall hold Chesaning Union Schools as the obligation. A surety authorized by the State of Michigan must issue bonds. The surety must be listed on the current Federal Register. Failure to meet these requirements shall be cause for rejection of the bond. Chesaning Union Schools reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities or defects, to award on a split-order or lump-sum basis, and accept other than the low bid when deemed to be in the School District best interests. The School District reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities or modify conditions and specifications by mutual agreement with the selected supplier, both at the time of acceptance of this bid as so modified and subsequent thereto. Description Clean courts: Thoroughly remove all debris, stains and loose materials. Responsible to prep the surface to guarantee a good bond for the color coatings. Level all areas that are holding 1/8 " or more of water 45-60 minutes after a heavy rainfall with an acrylic patch binder, silica sand and cement mixture according to the ASBA specifications. All repairs to be ground smooth and uniform. Repairs will not be visible upon completion of the project. Crack repairs: Contractor responsible to measure cracks on surface and provide a crack repair system by a certified installer that will provide a minimum of 2 years warranty. Include all control joint cracks under the net and between courts. Acrylic All Weather Color Coat Surface- Filler coat: Apply one coat of acrylic Resurfacer to the entire surface. Materials will be mixed on site with fresh portable water and allowed full curing time before other coatings are applied. Apply two coats of acrylic color coat concentrate textured batch to the entire surface. Colors to be used will be blue interior and green exterior. Speed courts-ITF 3. Apply textured white lines to 8 courts to USTA and ASBA specifications. 4" base lines will be installed. Install lines for 4 pickleball courts on the west 2 courts. Optional Pricing: Rust stain blocker. This stain blocking primer coat helps prevent brown iron deposits in the new asphalt from staining the new color coatings.
