Renovation of an educational facility in Eastport, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a primary / secondary education facility.
The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. varies building upgrades as well as varies site upgrades; including new security booth at the entrance, grass field modifications, new playground and outdoor program space, mechanical upgrades, and interior renovations and all associated work. 2. Tree removal, site clearing, grubbing, sheeting, bracing, excavation, soil erosion protection, slope protection, earth movement, subgrade preparation, removal of excess and/or unsuitable excavated material, dewatering, and import of suitable material, as necessary to install and construct all the work defined within the Contract Documents. 3. Demolition and removals as shown, 4. Preliminary site work including: utility mark-out, erection of safety fencing, erosion control facilities, clearing and grubbing. 5. New site drainage structures and piping. 6. Excavation, removal of excess and/or unsuitable excavated material, sheeting reinforcement, import of suitable material, soil compaction and testing. 7. Site restoration including final grading and placement of topsoil and seeding. 8. Asphalt removal new paving of driveway areas. 9. New sidewalks and concrete curbing. 10. Project closeout submittals. Non-bidders shall receive partial reimbursement, in an amount equal to the amount ofthe deposit, less the actual cost of reproduction of the docu - ments if the set is returned in good condition within thirty (30) days following the award of the contract or the rejection of the bids covered by such plans and specifications. Any bidder requiring documents to be shipped shall make arrangements with the printer and pay for all packaging and shipping costs. Please note REVplans (melville. h2mplanroom.com ) is the designat - ed location and means for distributing and obtaining all bid package information. Only those Contract Documents obtained in this manner will enable a prospective bidder to be identified as an official plan holder of record. The Provider takes no responsibility for the completeness of Contract Documents obtained from other sources. Contract Documents obtained from other sources may not be accurate or may not contain addenda thatmay have been issued. All bid addenda will be transmitted to registered plan holders via email and will be available at melville. h2mplanroom.com. Plan holders who have paid for hard copies ofthe bid documents will need to make the determination if hard copies of the addenda are required for their use and coordinate directly with the printer for hard copies of addenda to be issued. There will be no charge for registered plan holders to obtain hard copies ofthe bid addenda Each proposal submitted must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, made payable to the "EASTPORT-SOUTH MANOR CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, as a commitment by the bidder that, if its bid is accepted, it will enter into a contract to perform the work and will execute such furthersecurity as may be required for the faithful per - formance of the contract. CERTIFI - CATION OF BONDING COMPANY IS REQUIRED FOR THIS BID, SEE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS. Each bidder shall agree to hold his/ her bid price for forty-five (45) days after the formal bid opening. It is the Board ' s intention to award the contract to the lowest qualified bidder in compliance with the spec - ifications providing the required security who can meet the experi - ence, technical and budget require - ments. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informality and to accept such bid J which, in the opinion of the Board, is in the best interests ofthe School * District. Commence Construction: Monday, June 26th 2023 All Work Substantially Complete: Friday, August 18th 2023 Final Punch List / Closeout: Friday, September 15th 2023 The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. All clearing, excavation, filling, and backfilling associated with the installation of underground conduit, duct bank, or wiring. 2. Setting of electrical sleeves and/or embedded conduit in all concrete construction. All conduit for new construction shall be embedded in concrete slabs, decks, or walls. 3. Electrical connections (final termination) to all equipment, control panels, ventilating equipment and electrical devices. 4. Startup participation for the various equipment and systems of the project and provide complete service to troubleshoot and assist manufacturer service representatives in obtaining a completely functional installation. 5. Removal of existing components as noted. 6. New secondary feeders, power distribution, and instrumentation control wiring. New electrical conduit, wire, fittings, boxes, panels, and electrical accessories. 7. New lighting fixtures, wiring and associated equipment. 8. All excavation, trenching, backfilling, and rough grading associated with the installation of pull-boxes, underground conduit, and wiring. Final restoration by Contract G. 9. Final electrical terminations to all control panels, pumping equipment, blowers, HVAC equipment, etc. 10. Wiring connections to all electrical equipment (including equipment furnished by others).
