This solicitation is subject to the requirements of the Small Business Enhancement Program. As a matter of responsiveness, bidders/consultants that intend to subcontract work on the resulting
project must commit at least 50% of the value of the subcontracted work to businesses certified as Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned businesses (SWaM) by the Virginia Department
of Small Business and Supplier Diversity; if the bidder/consultant is unable to meet the 50% subcontracting requirement, then the bidder/consultant must provide documentation showing, with specificity, good faith efforts undertaken to meet the 50% SWaM-certified subcontractor participation requirement The work includes removal and replacement ofthe remaining existing railings that were not
replacement in Phase 1, the removal and replacement ofthe existing North metal and concrete
stair, the removal and replacement ofthe eight (8) existing steel stairs at the Concourse Level
and the six (6) existing steel stairs Upper Suite Level to include guardrails and handrails. The
project includes the recaulking of all the existing cracks in the existing topping slab on the
Concourse Level, the cleaning and removal ofthe existing paint from the structural steel, joist,
decking and miscellaneous plumbing and electrical, then re-finish with a high-performance
coating to match the previously coating steel. The replacement of existing RTU and exhaust fans
to include related structural steel and roof work associated with the roof equipment. New fire alarm
system, metal lockers and toilet partitions to include associated PME work
