As of 03/09/2023 Start date being determined; within two weeks General Work Description: This project consists of removing the old Juvenile hall roof and installing a new roof, as well as all associated clean-up activities. A site visit may be scheduled with the County by contacting efitch@inyocounty.us. The Independence Juvenile Hall Facility has an old composite roof that was significantly damaged during the Summer 2022 windstorm. The roof needs to be removed and replaced in its entirety, a total of approximately 125 square. A suggested technical procedure outlining the scope of work is as follows: Remove and haul away existing roof, nails, and debris Technical questions related to project work, site conditions, or other related inquiries should be directed to Elsa Fitch of the Public Works Department at efitch@inyocounty.us (office phone: (760) 878-0210). The Bid Packages are available for inspection at the Department during regular business hours. Checks are to be made out to "Inyo County Public Works Department". The successful bidder must be licensed as required by law, and consistent with the Contract Documents, at the time the contract is awarded, which license shall be a current California Class B - General Building Contractor license or a combination of all specialty classifications that will be required for complete performance of all of the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, and if applicable, a joint venture license as defined in the Business and Professions Code, Section 7029. Failure of the bidder to obtain proper and adequate licensing for an award of a contract shall constitute failure to execute the contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the security of the bidder.
