For the purchase of construction services for pavement repair and drainage improvements in Copper Canyon, Texas, as follows per bid instructions and specifications: 2023 Annual Contract for Miscellaneous Pavement Repair and Drainage Improvements Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids received later than the specified time and date will be returned to the bidder unopened. The bids will then be officially reviewed and awarded by the Town Council as soon thereafter as possible. All bid proposals must be made on the printed document forms included in the specifications. The submitted bid shall not be altered, withdrawn, or resubmitted within sixty (60) days from and after the date of the bid opening. Qualified prospective bidders may obtain copies of the bid invitation with information to bidders, bid proposals, plans, and specifications at the Copper Canyon Town Hall. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, or acceptable bid bond payable without recourse to the Town of Copper Canyon, Texas in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid submitted as guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and provide an insurance certificate within ten (10) days after the notification of the award of the contract to the bidder. This project will consist of miscellaneous pavement repairs and drainage improvements to be administered by work orders as needed. The contract term is one year. The Town has the option to renew the contract for one (1) additional one-year term. Both the contractor and the Town have the right to request renegotiated unit prices and/or quantities for the renewal term, and renewal will require the agreement of both parties. No officer or employee of the Town of Copper Canyon shall have a financial interest, direct or indirect, in any contract with the Town of Copper Canyon. The Town anticipates total work orders during the one-year term will be between $25,000 and $90,000. However, the Town reserves the right to issue work orders that total more or less than that amount. Individual work orders will not ordinarily be issued for less than $3,000 except as indicated in the Special Conditions. The quantities shown in the proposal are for illustration only and represent no guarantee that the actual quantities will not vary from the quantities shown. The Town of Copper Canyon, Texas reserves the right to reject any and all bids and informalities, unless all bids are rejected, and award will be made to the lowest and most responsible bidder.
