The Canal WTP treats Rio Grande water to drinking water standards and typically operates during irrigation season (March-September). The project is for the replacement of the existing backwash water supply header to include removal and disposal of approximately 125 linear feet of cement mortar lined steel pipe including valves and fittings, and other structural and mechanical improvements to the existing filter gallery.
