Township Road 245 is a 2-lane gravel road that provides access to agricultural lands south of Highway 1 and east of Highway 22 in the County. This 0.6 km section is planned for an extension to the east to allow for access to farmland once SR1 is constructed. The scope of this project is to build a 7.0m wide gravel road from the existing cul-de-sac 1.0 km east of Highway 22 to the legal section line 0.6 km east of the existing cul-de-sac. A new cul-de-sac will be constructed at the east end of the constructed road offset to the south side of the road right of way. There are two crossgrade CSP culverts that will be required to be installed in the extension of Township Road 245. Major components of the Work include, but may not be limited to, the following: Township Road 245 extension Clearing and Mulching 0.5 ha Common Excavation 15,000 m3 Borrow Excavation - Contractor Supply 6,000 m3 Channel Excavation 250 m3 Supply & Install New CSP Culverts - 450mm 60 m Supply & Install New CSP Culverts - 900mm 70 m Surface Gravel (Des 4, Class 20) - Two Lifts 500 t Topsoil Placement & Drill Seeding 8,000 m2 Erosion Control Barrier (Silt Fence) - Supply and Install 400 m Remove and Dispose of Existing Fence 0.72 km New Class B Fence 1.50 km New Signs 5 each The scope of work for these projects generally includes, but is not limited to, the following: Act as Prime Contractor for all components of the Work; Traffic accommodation during construction; Grading construction; Ditch excavations; Supply and install all new culverts; Supply, place, and compact contractor supply of additional common fill; Supply and place gravel surfacing Remove and dispose and supply and install class B fencing; Topsoil placement and drill seeding
