Direct Inquiries To: Brandon Hancock The City intends to acquire services for installation of fiber optic cables and patch box installation along existing fiber optic cables. The two (2) fiber optic cables shall be installed at the following locations: between the Myrtle Beach Police Department (MBPD) and the Myrtle Beach Convention Center MBCC) and between the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Kings Highway and Fire Station #2. The two (2) patch boxes shall be installed at the the intersection of 21st Avenue North and Kings Highway and at the intersection of 38th Avenue North and Kings Highway. Bidders for this work shall have the experience, tools, personnel, equipment, insurances, licenses, and all other necessities required to fulfill the specifications of this Contract. Fiber optic cable shall be twenty-four (24) strand cable between the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Kings Highway and Fire station #2. Forty-eight (48) strand cable shall be installed between the MBPD and the MBCC with proper protections and insulators for the locations in which they will be installed. All hardware including, but not limited to: splices, fittings, brackets, tracer wire, and any other necessary hardware shall be provided by the awarded Contractor. Both fiber optic cables shall be Optical Singlemode Fiber (OS2) and the connectors shall be subscriber connectors (SC). The Contractor shall be responsible for and remedy any damages to the fiber optic cable incurred during installation. Any cable, hardware, or equipment that is damaged by the Contractor shall not be installed but must be replaced with new, undamaged materials. All Contractor installed materials shall be waterproof and shall be free of any inclusions or other hindrances that would affect the performance and/or dexterity of the cable(s). LOCATIONS - MBPD to MBCC: o Forty-eight (48) strand fiber optic cable shall be installed from Myrtle Beach Police Department (1101 North Oak Street) to the Myrtle Beach Convention Center (2101 North Oak Street). New fiber optic cable shall be ran along the existing fiber cable conduit that is currently between the two locations underground. o Installation of one (1) twenty-four (24) strand patch panel and one (1) forty-eight (48) strand patch panel at the MBCC. o Installation of one (1) forty-eight (48) strand patch panel at the MBPD. -Intersection of 48th Avenue North & Kings Hwy to Fire Station #2: o Twenty-four (24) strand fiber optic cable shall be ran between the intersection of 48th Avenue North and Kings Highway to Fire Station #2 (5338 North Kings Highway). This installation will be aerial along existing electricity poles. o Installation of one (1) twenty-four (24) strand patch panel at Fire Station #2. o Two (2) pairs of fiber optic cable pulled for City camera network. - Intersection of 38th Avenue North and Kings Hwy: o Existing fiber optic cable located at the intersection of 38th Avenue North and Kings Highway and along 38th Avenue North shall be patched out for camera equipment. o Two (2) pairs of fiber optic cable pulled for City camera network. - Intersection of 21st Avenue North and Kings Hwy: o Existing fiber optic cable located at the intersection of 21st Avenue North and Kings Highway and along 21st Avenue North shall be patched out for camera equipment. o Two (2) pairs of fiber optic cable pulled for City camera network.
