The project will consist of surface cleaning, brushing, crack filling, sealcoating, and related work in accordance with the construction plans at River Heights Golf Course, Pappas Park and Hopkins Park Path, or any other related work in accordance with the construction plans. Other Bidding Information: a.) Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court upon review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract (820 ILCS 130/0.01). b.) 50 percent of the labor hours for this project must be performed by actual residents of the State of Illinois (20 ILCS 805/805-350). c.) The DeKalb Park District is exempt from Illinois state, municipal, or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. d.) All bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check, or bank draft payable to the DeKalb Park District for five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder instructions. Rejection of Bids: The DeKalb Park District reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities as deemed necessary.
