Site work and paving for a civil project in Port Charlotte, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; water / sewer project; and for paving for a road / highway.

It is the intent of Charlotte County to secure the services of a licensed and experienced Contractor to furnish all material, labor, equipment, and all other associated appurtenances required to successfully complete the construction and replacement of infrastructure damaged from Hurricane Ian along Gillot Boulevard at Mitchell Waterway in Port Charlotte as described in the Contract documents herein. Estimated budget $496,140. Local license(s) required to perform the services for this project: Certified General, Certified Underground Utilities, Registered General or Registered Underground Utilities. The work consists of but is not limited to roadway construction, major drainage improvements, the removal of the existing damaged 16-inch Asbestos Cement (AC) pipe and install a new 16-inch Ductile Iron (DI) pipe, Right-of way (ROW) restoration, and canal stabilization. The work also includes all other items of construction including, but not limited to, removal and disposal of existing structures, site dewatering, flow diversion, excavation and fill, grading, sodding, and maintenance of traffic This project consists of permanent repairs and restoration to County Infrastructure due to Hurricane Ian, along Gillot Boulevard at the Mitchell Waterway between Mitchell Terrace and Bacchus Road in the Gulf Cove area of Port Charlotte. This area has sustained roadway damage and major erosion within the County R.O.W. and will require roadway and swale restoration to include, but not limited to, cleaning out and restoring of all drainage swale and piped systems and reconstructing the roadway. Roadway will need to be restored from centerline to shoulder for the length of damage. All drainage pipes, including roadway crossing pipes, must be cleaned, and restored or replaced. All drainage pipes to be RCP. There is asbestos pipe within the right-of-way that will need to be removed and replaced with 16" Ductile Iron Pipe from valve to valve. Guardrail will need to be installed and canal bank restoration will be required with the installation of Concrete Fabric Form from behind guard rail down canal slopes. Proper warning and street signs will need to be replaced. All ROW and easement area to be cleaned and reconstructed back to the original condition or as directed herein. All work must meet current standards. During construction, all debris within the project limits shall be removed from the site and disposed of in a legal manner. Contractor MUST visit project locations before the Pre-Bid Meeting. Any questions regarding the efforts to reconstruct back to its original condition while meeting current standards must be asked within the timeframe to submit questions before the bid-opening. The work under this contract location may include, but not be limited to, the following: o Permitting o MOT o Erosion Control o Dewatering o Clearing and Grubbing o Debris Removal o Excavation o Embankment Material o Material Testing, Concrete Testing, Asphalt Testing, and Compaction o Utility Protection, Relocation, Removal, & Installation o Roadway Subbase o Shoulder Stabilization o Roadway Base o Roadway Milling o Prime & Tack Coats o Roadway Pavement o Concrete Drainage Pipe o Concrete Collars o Structure Modifications & Installation o Concrete Fabric Form o Guard Rail Installation & Repair o Sod o Sign Installation & Relocation o Roadway Striping & RPMs o Survey & As-Built Drawings o Survey Monuments This project evaluation is strictly for quoting purposes. Contractor MUST complete their own site evaluation and provide a lump sum quote to include all costs associated with the repair. The County's description of project requirements is from visual inspection only and may not include all necessary items to restore the site
