BIDBids are requested for a combined bridge replacement project: C.H. 56 Lester Road Bridge No. 18 Replacement and T.H. 65 Spieth Road No.19. 56 Lester Road Bridge No. 18 Replacement will involve the removal of the existing twin 84"x60" CMP Arches and installation of a new 14'x4' 4-sided concrete box culvert including premium bedding & backfill, concrete footers & wingwalls, ditching, ditch enclosures, asphalt pavement, and general excavation involving ditch realignment & fine grading in preparation of seeding and incorporating stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. The road shall be closed for a maximum of 45 calendar days. T.H. 65 Spieth Road Bridge No.19 Replacement will involve the removal of the existing twin 54'' reinforced concrete culverts with 60" CMP extensions and installation of a new 12'x4' 4-sided box culvert including premium bedding & backfill, concrete footers & wingwalls, ditching, ditch enclosures, catch basins, asphalt pavement and general excavation involving ditch realignment & fine grading in preparation of seeding and incorporating stipulated traffic control in accordance with the specifications and accompanying construction drawings. The road shall be closed for a maximum of 45 calendar days. These projects can not be constructed simultaneously. T.H. 65 Spieth Road Bridge No.19 Replacement must be completed and open before C.H. 56 Lester Road Bridge No. 18 Replacement may begin. The Engineer's estimate is$443,332.00. A letter of credit shall be revocable only at the option of Medina County. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contract compliance with the Equal Opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and the Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Contractors and Subcontractors must comply with the prevailing wage rates requirements detailed in the Bid Documents. The bid will be awarded to the lowest and best bidder. The Medina County Board of Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
