Monkey Brook Road from its intersection with Sunday River Road to the end of the town-maintained line, approximately 3,800' long x 26' wide and Wheeler Road, to intersections with Route 26, approximately 1,800' long x 20' wide; some minor Wheeler Road repairs will be necessary. Provide the necessary supervision, engineering, layout, notifications, materials, and construction of; 3/4" shim lift of Maine DOT Spec. 9.5 mm. shim HMA mix, overlay with a 1" lift of Maine DOT Spec. 9.5mm. surface HMA mix, place 2' wide compacted gravel shoulder backing material entire road length, for both roads. Wheeler Road will need more repairs prior to a shim and final coat. Direct inspection of this road is required prior to bid. A separate line to the bid will be for a 20'x 90' parking area located at 422 Bear River Rd, the Town Office. The area will be prepped for asphalt. Please clarify in Bid if any traffic shutdowns and their durations will occur while completing this project. Bidders, before submitting an offer, should become completely familiar with the required work and rely on their investigation, measurements, and calculations for bid purposes. A Municipal Representative is available to show the site of the proposed project. This project shall meet the requirements of the contract, manufacturer's installation instructions and portions of the most recent edition of the Maine Dept. of Transportation Standard Specifications. Project is subject to Town Meeting approval on May 15, 2023. Project funding will be available July 1, 2023.
