Lewis Lane, Carbondale, IL 62901. 1. Project Description: Project consists of the complete demolition of the existing 2 Nursing Home buildings at 500 S. Lewis Lane. Demolition includes building structure, doors, windows, cabinetry, concrete slabs and foundations, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical and the removal, packaging, and recycling of all universal wastes (bulbs, ballasts, closers, etc.). All hazardous materials have been/will be removed prior in a separate contract. The overall square footage for the 2 buildings is approximately, 56,200 sq ft. The will be some site work demolition and regrading as part of this project. E. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. General Contract (all trades). Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of [5%J Five percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of [60] Sixty days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
