Such Proposals as herein concerned shall be for the following as described: - Furnishing of 400,000 gallons, more or less, in transport quantities of liquid bituminous material for use by the Wood County Engineer in the maintenance of public roads during the calendar year 2023. All materials to be furnished must comply with State Highway Department Specifications for Bituminous Material, Section 702, et. seq. It is understood that a vendor may bid and will be considered for the furnishing or any part of the 400,000 gallons, in transport quantities, that the vendor is reasonably sure can be furnished. Bids submitted shall be in letter form, showing a unit price per gallon for supplying such needed materials from the types as hereinafter listed and the same to be shipped F.O.B. to job site, as may be designated in Wood County, Ohio; also quote, if available cost on basis of plant pick up, it being understood that prices submitted shall include any and all costs of insulated transports; also terms regarding demurrage charges, and all invoices for deliveries shall be on the basis of one (1) invoice for total load. The net cost to Wood County will be considered in this matter. Types - MC-30, AEP-B, HFRS-2, HFRS-2P, RS-2, MWS-90, SS-1H, CM90, CM150, CM300, Fog Seal (CSS-1h Dilute 40%) Crack Sealant: ODOT Item 423 Type I, II, III, and IV All bids shall include the price adjustment letter and be signed by a properly authorized person of the company or firm submitting a bid and bids shall be sealed and the envelope containing same shall be plainly marked: "SEALED BID FOR LIQUID BITUMINOUS MATERIAL". Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code Section 307.88 a bid bond will not be required. The successful bidder will be required to sign an affidavit of contractor or supplier of non-delinquency of personal property taxes in accordance with Section 5719.042, Revised Code of Ohio and an Affidavit Regarding Child Support, pursuant to the Board of County Commissioners Resolution No. 92-2041. The Board of County Commissioners may reject any or all of the bids. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to waive any irregularities in the form of the bid that do not affect or destroy competitive bidding. In no case will an award be made until all necessary investigations are made as to the qualifications of the bidder to whom it is proposed to award the contract.
