Renovation of a mixed-use development in Middlesex, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-26, in order to be eligible to submit a bid for the Project, the Bidder shall be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction ("DPMC") as of the date and time of the bid opening as C047 Electrical. Further, if the Bidder is not classified by the DPMC as either 008 General Construction or C009 General Construction / Alterations / Additions, the Bidder shall be required to retain a subcontractor that is DPMC classified either C008 or C009. However, the C008 or C009 subcontractor shall not be named in the bid. All required documents for the general construction subcontractor (Business Registration Certificate, Public Works Certificate, etc.) shall be provided after award. Bids shall be submitted on the provide proposal forms and be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check of bid bond draw to the order of the "Middlesex Board of Education" for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). Bid securities shall comply with N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-24. Bids shall include a Consent of Surety obligating the issuing surety company to provide the bidder and its subcontractors, if successful, with a New Jersey Statutory Performance and Payment Bond in the full amount of the contract. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the opening date. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in the bidding, as permitted by law. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., and N.J.A.C. 17:27. Pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.50 et seq., Bidders and their subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor.
