Marion County is soliciting fully licensed and qualified firms to submit responses for a service contract to evaluate and/or repair a variety of electric motors, high-service pumps, and electric blowers. All assets covered by this service contract are located within Marion County, Florida. It is the County's intent to select the best, overall proposal for this contract. The County has the intention to contract with two (2) vendors for the award. However, if fewer firms respond, or are qualified, the County may accept only one (1) firm or reject all proposals and readvertise as deemed necessary. The estimated annual budget is $310,000. This is an estimated annual budgetary number and shall not exceed the approved annual budget. While this is not a guarantee of work to be assigned under this contract, the figure is being provided to help the firm provide the best response based on the estimated value of the contract. The length of this contract shall be three (3) years, with three additional, one (1) year renewals provided there are positive evaluations and both parties mutually accept the renewal. All solicitations are subject to the Prohibition of Lobbying Clause - (1) Bid totals only will be read aloud at Bid openings and (2) Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with Selection Committee process, and as the meeting is noticed electronically. For either process, vendors may attend, however may not ask questions of the Staff, or discuss any aspect of the offer. All prospective respondents are hereby advised to NOT CONTACT County officials other than Marion County Procurement Staff with regard to this project.
