The Commonwealth of Massachusetts, University of Massachusetts Lowell will receive sealed proposals: Title: Repair / Replace Radiator on Rooftop Generator Each general bid proposal must be secured by an accompanying deposit of 5% of total bid amount in the form of a bid bond or certified or treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company payable to the University of Massachusetts Lowell. All bids for this project are subject to the provisions of either or both Mass. G.L., Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended and Mass. G.L., Chapter 149, Section 44A - 44J inclusive. Attention is directed to the minimum wage rates to be paid on the work as determined by the Commissioner of Labor and Industries under the provisions of Mass. G.L., Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27D inclusive. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any and all bids if it were in the public interest to do so. Neither personal checks nor cash can be accepted as deposits. Requests for clarification or additional information are to be submitted through the Opportunity Q&A Feature within
the specified project on the Jaggaer Sourcing Director portal by FEBRUARY 22, 2023 by 4:00 pm. Option 1 - Completely Rebuild of existing radiator that consists of replacing all of the radiator's cores to
repair the existing leak.
Option 2 - Replacement of the existing radiator with a new OEM radiator.
The awarded contractor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive and permanent solution. This
work shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:
o All labor and materials needed for a complete rebuild or replacement of the existing radiator.
o Cranes/Lifts
o Flooring and Elevator Protection
o Police Detail(s)
o Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
o Waste and Trash Removal from Site
o Spill Containment
o Permits and Fees
o Start-up, run for 2 hours and provide Completion Report
o 1 Month Onsite Follow up/Inspection and run for 1 hour
o Warranty to include all parts and labor
