Clarification Deadline: 3/3/2023 4:00 PM For 2023 ADA Curb Ramp Replacement Program. This project will consist of ADA curb ramp installation on both north and south sides of East Grandview Avenue approximately 150 feet East of the Main Street intersection. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Sellersville. Award of Contract, if a Contract be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability. This ADA curb ramp replacement project is located on East Grandview Avenue, approximately 150 feet East of the intersection with Main Street, at the entrance to private driveways. The work covered under this project shall generally consist of, but not be limited to, the following: 1. Installation of concrete ADA curb ramps. 2. Placement of Superpave, WMA, 25 mm base course repair around ramp (incidental). 3. Placement of Superpave, WMA, 9.5 mm wearing course repair around ramp (incidental). 4. Installation and maintenance of traffic barriers and controls (incidental). 5. Sealing of all asphalt joints with joint sealer as specified within the specifications (incidental). 6. Restoration of adjacent lawns and structures disturbed during work (incidental). B. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, machinery, apparatus and tools, and perform all operations necessary to install, equip, adjust, and put into satisfactory operation, the work specified and shown on the Drawings and within the Specifications, and shall so connect the various items or sections of the work as to form a complete and properly operating whole. Any labor, material, equipment or apparatus not specifically mentioned herein, or shown on the drawings, which may be necessary for the proper completion of the entire work or of the individual items thereof within the intent of these Specifications and Drawings, shall be furnished by the Contractor without additional compensation. C. All tie-in work with state roads shall be in accordance with PennDOT standards. D. Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed shall be issued by the Borough. E. Breakdown of Bidding 1. This project shall be bid as noted in Attachment #1. Limits of contract are clearly noted within the specifications. Coordination of work shall be between Contractor, Engineer and Owner. 2. Limits of work have been marked with white marking paint at the various locations within the project. Confirmation of extent of work shall be given by Borough personnel.
