The University of Massachusetts - Lowell, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Fox Hall-Domestic HW Boiler Replacement for the University of Massachusetts - Lowell in Lowell, Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by C.A. Crowley Engineering, Inc. The Project consists of: Replacement of two existing atmospheric boilers with two new direct vent boilers including demolition, gas piping, combustion air and exhaust vent piping, pressure regulators, sheet metal enclosure, and associated power and control wiring. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 A,A44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 A,AA,A26 to 27H inclusive. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub-Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub-Bidder's Update Statement. SUBTRADES Section 22 Plumbing General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates), and made payable to the University of Massachusetts - Lowell. This deposit will be refunded for up to two sets for general bidders and for one set for sub-bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of general bids.
