The Department of Public Works intends to build the filtration system attached to Well #6 on Fruit Street. The well was most recently tested last month, when PFAS concentrations were found to be twice as high as state standards. The new filtration system will cost more than $1 million, with two filtration vessels costing over $157,000, according to DPW Director John Westerling.
