Demolition and site work for a mixed-use development in Rockford, Illinois. Working plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; bridge / tunnel; and playground / park / athletic field.

Project cancelled. The Park District invites qualified contractors to submit a bid on phase 2 of the Keith Creek bank stabilization within Alpine Hills Adventure Park. Work includes construction and repair of in-stream features within Keith Creek, as well as demolition of an existing pedestrian bridge structure, site grading, native seeding, and site restoration. A. The purpose of this project is to restore approximately 900 linear feet of the South Fork of Keith Creek that is severely eroding and down-cutting. Restoration will include installation of four cross vane grade control structures, installation of approximately 485 linear feet of stone toe bank protection, bank grading to increase flood flow capacity, and repair of a riffle structure over a 27 inch diameter sanitary sewer line. Project work is expected to begin in spring of 2023. B. Contractor shall construct in-stream structures according to details in the Project Plan Set using materials in accordance with the specified sizes shown. C. Vegetation removal will be completed by Others prior to this work. D. Contractor shall have experience installing streambank restoration structures specified, or acceptable equivalents, and be able to provide evidence of instream construction experience if requested. E. Special Conditions for this project are intended to define specific items of the project in more detail than provided in the Project Plan Set for this project. Rockford Park District intends to contract for the following items and services; specifications are on file . Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the IL Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12).
