Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Crosby, North Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The work generally consists of: 1. Schedule 1: City-Wide Sidewalk Improvements Various Locations* a. Base Bid: Removal and replacement of approximately 700 LF of Curb and Gutter. Removal and replacement of approximately 6,000 SF of 4" Concrete Sidewalk. Removal and replacement of approximately 1,500 SF of 6" Concrete Driveway. Removal of approximately 250 SY of asphalt pavement and installation of approximately 400 SY of 4" HBP including 9" of Aggregate Base. PLEASE NOTE: Property owners are invited to participate in this project via special assessment. Actual quantities and locations will be provided after the contract is awarded and before the preconstruction meeting. As a result, please be aware of the following Supplementary Condition modification to the General Conditions: SC- 13.03 Unit Price Work Delete Paragraph 13.03.E in its entirety and insert the following paragraphs in its place: 13.03.E The unit price of an item of Unit Price Work shall be subject to reevaluation and adjustment under the following conditions: 13.03.E.1 if the extended price of a particular item of Unit Price Work amounts to 25 percent or more of the Contract Price (based on estimated quantities at the time of Contract formation) and the variation in the quantity of that particular item of Unit Price Work actually furnished or performed by Contractor differs by more than 50 percent from the estimated quantity of such item indicated in the Agreement; and 13.03.E.2 if there is no corresponding adjustment with respect to any other item of Work; and 13.03.E.3 if Contractor believes that Contractor has incurred additional expense as a result thereof, Contractor may submit a Change Proposal, or if Owner believes that the quantity variation entitles Owner to an adjustment in the unit price, Owner may make a Claim, seeking an adjustment in the Contract Price. PLEASE NOTE: Quality Control is the responsibility of the Contractor including all Quality Control testing identified in the Contract Documents. The testing costs for Quality Control will be incidental to the work and will be included in the unit price bid for the respective item. Construction Schedule 1 shall be substantially complete and ready for OWNER use and pre-final inspection by August 31, 2023 or within thirty (30) calendar days of the date on which on-site work is started, whichever is earlier. 2. All construction schedules shall be finally complete and ready for final payment within thirty (30) calendar days of substantial completion. 3. The CONTRACTOR shall pay the OWNER $500.00 for each day or part of a day that expires after the time specified for Substantial Completion of any construction schedule until the Work is substantially complete.
