The Lift Station 3 Basin Pipe and Manhole Rehabilitation Phase II consists of two schedules. Schedule A includes installing approximately 2,080 linear feet of cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) within easements between Sahalee Way NE and the Districts wellfield to rehabilitate the existing sewer main Schedule B includes the rehabilitation of twelve (12) existing manholes utilizing a variety of techniques as shown in the Plans. Rehabilitation tasks vary for each manhole, and may include preparatory work, chemical grouting, cementitious grouting, chipping out and grouting pipe penetrations, root control, replacing ladders, installing coatings, and other work necessary to complete the Work, as specified and shown in the Contract Documents. These manholes are located within easements between Sahalee Way NE and the District's wellfield (along the sewer alignment in Schedule A). Each schedule will be awarded separately. The basis for contract award will, be based upon the bids for each schedule separately. Bids can be submitted for only one schedule and do not need to include both schedules. The Notice to proceed for each schedule of this project will be given to the contractor on a date agreed upon with the District between May 1, 2023 and September 1, 2023. The Work is to be performed within sixty (60) working days. The Northeast Sammamish Sewer and Water District hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into, pursuant to this advertisement, minority and women's business enterprises will be afforded, full opportunity to submit bids in response to the invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount ofsuch bid proposal. Checks shall be made payable to the Northeast Sammamish Sewer and Water District. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the Specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Northeast Sammamish. Sewer and Water District. The Northeast Sammamish Sewer and Water District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. No bidder may withdraw their proposal after the hours set for the opening thereof, or before award of contract, unless said award is delayed for a period exceeding sixty (60) calendar days.
