Through this Invitation to Bid (ITB), the City of Dearborn (City) hereby invites businesses that meet the qualifications set forth herein to submit bids to provide fencing for three baseball fields at the Citys Levagood Park. Question Acceptance Deadline 02/21/2023 12:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online No material to be Galvanized. -All tie wires to be 6-gauge aluminum. -All hog rings to be steel. -All wire to be GBW. -Replacement backstops on diamonds 2 & 3 should match exactly current height and size dimensions of existing backstop on diamond 1. -Bottom 10' of wire on backstop to be 6-gauge material and top 8' of wire to be 9 gauge. -All player bench areas and outfield fence to be 9-gauge material. All terminal posts to be SS40 3", all line posts to be ss40 2 1/2", all rail and bracing to be ss40 1 5/8. -Players bench area to end of infield should be 8' high 9 gauge with top middle and bottom rail. Outfield fence (depending on field #) shall be either 6' high, or 8' high galvanized 9-gauge chain link with bottom tension wire. Baseball Diamond #1 -Improvements to the backstop itself will have to include (2) man gates at each dugout so field can be locked. Contractor will also have to close in the gaps in the enclosed batter box area that were not completed by previous contractor. Extend the 8' high fence with the top middle and bottom rail down each baseline until it meets the outfield grass. -Vehicle gates will be needed on each baseline so field can be accessed by larger equipment. -See attached photos for dimensions. Softball Diamond #2 -Remove old backstop and replace with new. Should match exactly current height and size dimensions of existing backstop on diamond 1. -6' high outfield fence all around. -Vehicle gates will be needed on each baseline so field can be accessed by larger equipment. -See Attached photos for dimensions. Multi-Use Baseball/Softball Diamond #3 -Remove old backstop and replace with new.
