Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Wayne County, Indiana; hereinafter referred to as the OWNER, will receive sealed bids from qualified suppliers for the furnishing of materials for the following project: Replacement of Culvert No. 854 - Culvert is located at the intersection of Smoky Row Road and Carlos Road, 0.3 miles East of Mineral Springs Road in Sections 23 and 24, Township 17 North, Range 13 East, Clay Township, Wayne County, Indiana. Bids received after the designated time for receipt but during the bid opening shall be logged in with time of receipt, opened, read aloud during the bid opening, and referred to the OWNER for its consideration and treatment in the manner required by law. Bids received after the conclusion of the bid opening shall be logged in with the time of receipt; noted that the bid was received after the conclusion of the bid opening and returned unopened to the bidder. ITEMIZED BIDS: Material supplier to bid a unit price ($/ton) for No. 53 crushed stone; ($/ton) for riprap, revetment; ($/ton) for HMA 64 Intermediate 19.0mm; ($/ton) for HMA 64 Surface 9.5mm; ($/linear feet) for precast concrete box culvert; and ($/each) for precast concrete box culvert, modified section. All materials shall be furnished in such quantities and at such times as needed and shall be delivered and unloaded as specified by the Wayne County Highway Engineer or Supervisor free of freight, express, drayage, or other charges, F.O.B. Wayne County Highway Garage, Centerville, Indiana, or F.O.B. job site. If at any time the successful bidder, for any item, fails to deliver the materials ordered within a reasonable length of time, the OWNER reserves the right to order such materials elsewhere free of any claim or objection. All materials bid shall be in accordance with current INDOT standards and specifications. Bids shall be properly completed and submitted on proposal forms provided, along with a completed Form #95 and Affidavit of Non-Collusion. A 10% bid bond or certified check shall be required with the bid, made payable to the Wayne County Board of Commissioners and will be held as evidence that the bidder will, if awarded the contract, enter into the same with the OWNER upon notification to the bidder to do so. In no event shall such bond or check be less than $500.00 and shall in all aspects conform with the laws governing such matters. The successful Bidder shall provide a 100% performance bond. Failure to execute the contract and to furnish performance bond to the OWNER, will be cause for forfeiture of the amount of money represented by the bid bond or certified check, as and for liquidated damages. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled time for opening bids without the written consent of the OWNER for a period of 30 days. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any or all informalities, irregularities, or omissions in any or all bids.
