The purpose of this project is for the roof replacement on building #2, Hangar Facility, at Naval Air Station, Meridian MS 39309. Contractor is responsible for removal of all existing low slope bituminous membrane roof systems in their entirety down to roof deck and to install a complete new effective watertight modified bitumen roof system that is aesthetically pleasing. Bid options are for the installation and certification of a lightning protection system for building 2, and application of new structural steel protective coating system for entire exposed steel superstructure above the roof plane and connected steel closures at frame penetrations through the roof. This is an occupied building and an active facility with work continuing throughout this project.
