This sum will serve as a bid security and will be forfeited to Dushore Burough as liquidated damages in the event that an award is made, and the contract and bonds are not promptly executed as required in the contract documents for required bonds and insurance coverage. This project is subject to the labor standards as required by the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act #442 and reference is made to prevailing wage rates applicable to this project and which have been included as part of this project. Where a particular craft is not listed in the prevailing wage rates, the contractor shall contact the Department's rate determination department to determine the rates that will apply to satisfy the Act's Requirements. Both Davis Bacon Federal Wage Rates and Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Rates apply to this project. Where duplicated, the higher of the two must be provided in the bid. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date specified for opening and reading of the bids, except as provided in accordance with the Pennsylvania Act No. 4 as approved on January 23, 1974.
